Social Connection Through Role-Playing Games: Facilitator’s Guide

Welcome. This website serves as a repository of useful information for social skill mentors to utilize. If you work with autistic individuals and believe that using Table-Top Role-Playing Games (TTRPGs) would be beneficial for your clients, but you are unsure of how to start, this is the place for you!

How to Use this Site: Clicking the Learn More button will take you to the Info page, where the information has been organized and categorized based upon its intended audience.

If you are already experienced at coaching or mentoring autistic individuals, but are unfamiliar with TTRPGs, then you’ll want to check out the articles in the “Facilitator” category. I suggest starting with “What is a TTRPG?”

If you are an experienced DM/Storyteller (henceforth referred to as a Storyteller), but lack experience working with Neurodevelopmental Disabilities, then you are going to want to read the articles in the “Storyteller” category. I suggest starting with “Experienced Storytellers: Overview”
